Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Part Time Front of House Server to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service in a welcoming environment, ensuring diners have a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for hospitality. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Provide attentive guest service, addressing any enquiries or special requests with professionalism
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest experience and maximise sales
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times
- Assist with basic food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as required
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations
- Handle payments accurately and provide correct change or receipts
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is desirable
- Familiarity with serving procedures and guest services enhances performance in this role
- Basic maths skills are essential for processing payments efficiently
- Experience with food preparation or culinary tasks is a plus but not required
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment
