Are you an experienced hairdresser who loves hair — but is ready for something different?
We're looking for an experienced hair professional with a genuine passion for hair, products and people to represent our professional haircare brands within Costco stores across London and the surrounding area.
This role is specifically suited to someone with professional hairdressing or substantial hair industry experience.
You'll be talking to Costco members, discussing their hair concerns, recommending appropriate products and demonstrating products directly on customers' hair.
So you must be completely comfortable touching, working with and applying products to customers' hair.
This isn't a traditional retail sales job and it isn't about hard selling.
It's about engaging with people, understanding their hair, demonstrating what our products can do and giving customers a genuinely enjoyable experience.
The person we're looking for
You'll ideally have:
- Significant professional hairdressing or hair industry experience — ideally 5+ years
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of hair
- A genuine passion for haircare and hair products
- A warm, confident and approachable personality
- Strong communication and people skills
- A natural ability to engage with people you haven't met before
- Sales experience or a strong commercial instinct
- Reliability, professionalism and the ability to work independently
- A full driving licence and your own reliable vehicle
- The ability and willingness to travel regularly between allocated Costco warehouses
- The ability to work on your feet throughout the day
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is genuine, friendly and enthusiastic. We don't want aggressive salespeople. We want someone customers enjoy talking to and trust.
What you'll be doing
You'll take responsibility for a group of approximately 6 Costco warehouses, visiting each location on a rotating schedule every quarter.
Typical London locations may include Croydon, Reading, Wembley, Hayes, Watford and other Costco warehouses around Greater London and the surrounding area.
Events normally run for approximately 12 days, with typical working hours of around 10:00am–6:00/6:30pm.
There is flexibility around weekends. You may choose to work weekends and earn additional income, or weekend cover can be arranged where appropriate. The salary offered is for a Monday-Friday working week.
You'll:
- Represent and demonstrate our professional haircare ranges in Costco
- Approach and engage Costco members
- Discuss customers' hair and individual requirements
- Demonstrate and apply products directly to customers' hair
- Explain products clearly and professionally
- Build relationships and create repeat customers
- Take responsibility for achieving agreed sales targets
- Help us develop our presence across your allocated Costco locations
Full product and sales training will be provided, together with ongoing support.
Salary & earning potential
£28,000 - £30,000 basic salary depending on candidate
Plus:
Uncapped performance-related bonus/commission
Strong performers will have the opportunity to earn substantial additional income by exceeding agreed sales targets. High achievers can earn over £40,000/year excluding additional weekend work.
Travel expenses will also be provided in accordance with the company's travel policy.

We're growing our UK business and Costco programme significantly.
For the right person, this role has the potential to develop beyond Costco demonstrations into a broader Haircare Brand Representative / Account Manager position, including developing relationships and sales with professional salons.
