We are seeking a motivated Yard Person to join our team at Allan's of Gillock Ltd, Inverness. In this role you will play a vital part in ensuring stock is organised in a logical manner and easily accessible for customer requirements.
Hours of work: 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and there would also be a requirement to work every second Saturday 8.00am to 12.00pm with time off in lieu.
Main Duties include but are not restricted to:
- Load and unload materials from vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Deal with associated paperwork accurately.
- Assist customers with their requirements in the yard.
- Maintain stock levels in a logical manner and keep work area clean and tidy.
- Driving van delivering products to customers in surrounding area or picking up or returning garden machinery if required.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to move materials within the yard.
Requirements:
- Strong ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Experience working in a warehouse or yard environment.
- Physically fit.
- Proficiency in operating a counterbalance forklift would be preferred although training will be provided if necessary.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience in fencing or agricultural sectors would be an advantage although not essential.
