About the Role
Pulse Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented Quality & QA Inspector to join our team. As a trusted sub-contract partner providing precision components to a diverse range of companies, we require high-precision inspection and full regulatory compliance across a variety of customer projects.
In this hands-on role, you will ensure all parts meet strict standards through rigorous inspection, detailed reporting, active management of internal calibration, and direct communication with client quality management teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day inspections of finished parts, carry out first-off inspections, and maintain in-process inspection schedules.
- Act as a key technical point of contact for customer QA teams, coordinating non-conformance recordings and managing concession approval processes.
- Compile and complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in full compliance with AS9100 standards.
- Execute internal calibration of standard hand measurement tools, and coordinate external and in-house calibration for specialised tools and machinery.
- Accurately document, log, and report quality anomalies and non-conformances across multiple client accounts.
Required Experience and Skills
- Hands-on experience operating CMM equipment. MCOSMOS software experience is highly beneficial.
- Proficient using verniers, micrometers, depth gauges, bore gauges, height gauges, and shadowgraphs.
- Experience liaising directly with clients and customers regarding quality issues, concessions, and non-conformances.
- Direct past experience performing internal tool calibration and managing calibration tracking systems.
- Solid understanding of AS9100 standard requirements and FAIR documentation within a sub-contract engineering environment.
- High level of computer literacy, including quality management databases and Microsoft Office.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
