Summary
The role is to maintain, service and repair a range of Allelys plant, lifting equipment and specialist machinery to industry standards and legislative requirements, ensuring equipment is safe, compliant and available for operational use.
1. Key responsibilities
· To ensure that all work is carried out as directed by manufacturers guidelines and maintenance requirements and to industry standards, traffic regulations, risk assessments, Health and Safety Regulations and also according to DVSA standards.
· Carry out planned maintenance, servicing and inspection of plant and lifting equipment, including cranes, gantries and modular trailers.
· Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults on plant equipment.
· Prepare equipment for statutory inspections (e.g. LOLER) and support third-party examinations.
· Complete accurate maintenance and inspection records.
· Attend site to carry out repairs or breakdown support as required.
· Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
· Maintain a safe, organised workshop and manage parts/consumables stock.

3. Key skills and qualifications
· NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plant Maintenance, Engineering or related discipline
· NVQ Level 2 in Plant Operations to service fork lift trucks
· Experience maintaining heavy plant, cranes or lifting equipment
· Knowledge of LOLER/PUWER requirements
· Hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills
· Full, clean and valid UK driving licence
Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
