About The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Support Worker with specific experience in supporting adults with learning disabilities and / or autism. We have positions available within our supported living services, respite, and in the community on a full time shift basis working within the Nottinghamshire County Council area. Driving is essential for this position.
The successful candidate will be required to participate in a rotational shift pattern, which does include weekends (on a shared rota) and may include sleep ins or waking nights. Please note also that this role does involve personal care for both males and females.
You must have a positive and proactive attitude, be an excellent communicator, accurate record keeper, and be adaptable to the changing needs of the service users that you will be supporting.
As a Senior Support Worker you will be expected to carry out mentoring of new support worker, leading by example. You will complete updates to support plans as needed, carry out reviews for individuals we support and their families. You will also carry out supervisions, spot checks and appraisals on support workers.
Principle Support are committed to the safeguarding of our vulnerable service users and as such have a rigorous and stringent recruitment process in place. You MUST be able to provide a full work / education history and be able to supply a minimum of two satisfactory references. You will also be required to complete an enhanced DBS check
