YMCA Cheshire is excited to be opening a new 79-place childcare setting in Crewe. GLO
Childcare and Education will provide high-quality childcare and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years, giving them the best start in life. Guided by our family work approach, we place the child and family at the heart of everything we do. As the Room Leader, you will lead and manage a nursery room at GLO Childcare and Education, at the Apollo Campus in Crewe, reporting to the Strategic Lead for Childcare. You'll provide exceptional leadership to your staff team, ensuring high-quality childcare and education in a nurturing and inclusive environment where children's curiosity grows, and they thrive.

Key tasks include:
To be responsible for running and sustaining a nursery room at GLO Childcare and Education for children aged 3 months – 5-year-olds.
To lead and organise the day-to-day running of the room, providing exceptional hands-on leadership to a team of Early Years Educators, Assistants, Apprentices,
Volunteers and Students within GLO Childcare and Education.
To support the Childcare Manager in maintaining a high-quality, safe and stimulating environment in which children can grow and meet their full potential.
To comply with, and support the room team to comply with, all H&S, EYFS and OFSTED legislation and requirements, and YMCA Cheshire policies and procedures, reporting to the Childcare Manager on any matter affecting compliance within the room.

The post holder will report directly to the Childcare Manager.
This is a full-time post, working 38 hours per week across four days. Your day off will
remain the same each week.
