We are looking for a passionate and experienced hospitality professional to join the team at Caffi Wylfa in a Hospitality Supervisor role.
This is more than a barista position.
We are looking for someone who loves great coffee, enjoys giving genuinely excellent customer service and has the confidence and awareness to help lead a busy front-of-house operation.
The right person will be someone who naturally sees what needs doing and gets on with it; someone who leads by example, supports their colleagues and takes pride in creating a welcoming, professional environment for every customer.
The role
Alongside working as an experienced barista and front-of-house team member, you will gradually take greater responsibility for:
- Supervising shifts and supporting the wider team.
- Maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Ensuring consistency and quality across our coffee and drinks service.
- Helping train and develop other team members.
- Supporting opening and closing procedures.
- Dealing confidently and professionally with customers.
- Helping maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and organisation.
- Working closely with the General Manager and wider management team.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong barista and hospitality experience.
- Is confident working in a busy customer-facing environment.
- Has excellent communication and people skills.
- Can lead and motivate others positively.
- Is dependable, organised and takes responsibility.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Takes pride in delivering exceptional hospitality.
- Wants to develop rather than simply find their next job.
Previous supervisory experience would be an advantage, but attitude, ability and potential are equally important.
A genuine opportunity to progress
Caffi Wylfa is operated by Glyn Wylfa Ltd, a successful social enterprise which operates much more than the café itself.
For the right person, we want this role to provide a genuine career development opportunity.
As you develop, there will be opportunities to gain experience beyond the day-to-day café operation, including:
- Leadership and management.
- Marketing and social media.
- Sales and business development.
- Corporate customer development.
- Events and external activities.
- Trade shows and networking.
- Recruitment and HR.
- Stock, purchasing and supplier relationships.
- Business performance and cost control.
- Health & Safety and compliance.
- The wider operation of the Glyn Wylfa business centre.
For someone with the right ambition and ability, we would like to see the Hospitality Supervisor role develop over time with involvement across the wider Glyn Wylfa Ltd operation.
We are also keen to support the successful candidate with relevant training and recognised qualifications as part of their development.
