Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised, commercially minded and hands-on Logistics & Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end supply chain, warehousing, inventory management and operational performance of A.L.O.B. Ltd.
This pivotal role will be responsible for ensuring products flow efficiently from suppliers through to our customers whilst maintaining exceptional service levels, cost control and operational excellence across all channels.
The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Product and Digital teams, alongside third-party logistics providers and courier partners, to support the company's ambitious growth plans.
This role requires both a strategic thinker and operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-channel retail environment.
Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Inventory Management
- Manage inbound supply chain operations from suppliers to warehouse locations.
- Develop inventory planning processes to maintain optimum stock availability whilst minimising excess inventory.
- Forecast stock requirements using sales data, seasonality and promotional activity.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and implement robust stock control procedures.
- Coordinate stock transfers between warehouse locations where required.
- Manage stock ageing, slow-moving inventory and stock liquidation strategies.
Warehouse & Logistics Management
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
- Monitor warehouse performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs.
- Ensure efficient inbound booking, storage and outbound dispatch processes.
- Identify opportunities for warehouse process improvements and cost reductions.
- Review and optimise pick, pack and dispatch operations.
- Conduct regular operational reviews with warehouse partners.
Courier & Delivery Management
- Manage relationships with courier partners including service performance and pricing.
- Monitor delivery performance and customer service levels.
- Analyse courier costs and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Support the implementation of new delivery solutions and services.
- Investigate service failures and drive corrective actions.
Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Develop operational KPIs and reporting dashboards.
- Produce weekly and monthly operational performance reports.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Lead operational projects from concept through to implementation.
- Support systems integration projects between Shopify, ERP, WMS and marketplaces.
- Ensure operational scalability to support future growth.
Systems & Data Management
- Work closely with internal teams to optimise operational systems.
- Support the development of automated reporting and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure accurate master data across all systems.
- Maintain operational procedures and process documentation.
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of business systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Product, Customer Service and Finance teams.
- Support forecasting for promotions, seasonal events and product launches.
- Ensure operational readiness for new product introductions.
- Collaborate with Finance to manage operational budgets and costs.
- Support Customer Service in resolving operational escalations.
People Management
- Lead, coach and develop operational team members.
- Set objectives and monitor team performance.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Ad Hoc Support
- Support wider business initiatives and projects as required.
- Act as an operational ambassador for A.L.O.B. Ltd.
Experience
- Proven experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations Management within retail, e-commerce or consumer goods.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
- Strong understanding of inventory planning and forecasting.
- Experience within a multi-channel environment (websites, marketplaces and wholesale).
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Proven ability to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using ERP, WMS and e-commerce systems.

Reporting To: Managing Director
Location: Office based (with occasional warehouse visits)
Hours: Full Time 8.30-5pm
Department: Operations
Salary: Competitive + Bonus (dependent upon experience)
Pay: £40,000.00 per year
