Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team in September.
The successful candidate will support learners aged 16–19 with special educational needs, including autism and disabilities, providing tailored assistance to help them engage, progress, and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing individualised education programmes for children with special needs
- Support children with autism, disabilities, or behavioural challenges to participate fully in classroom activities
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to enhance learning outcomes
- Aid in the development of communication skills through personalised strategies
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that encourages positive behaviour and engagement
- Monitor and record children's progress, behaviour, and specific needs to inform ongoing support strategies
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external specialists to ensure consistent support for each child's development
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or care settings
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is advantageous
- Knowledge of special education practices and behavioural management techniques is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Enhanced DBS check
