An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and organised individual to join the team at Cavani as a Business/Accounts Administration Apprentice. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in finance, administration, and business operations within a fast-paced fashion and retail environment.
The successful candidate will support the Finance Department and wider business with day-to-day accounting and administrative duties while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Finance Duties
- Processing supplier invoices and ensuring accurate record keeping
- Raising sales invoices and assisting with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks
- Preparing and processing payments in line with company procedures
- Recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records
- Completing bank reconciliations and assisting with journal entries
- Supporting the preparation and submission of VAT returns and basic tax computations
- Assisting with month-end finance administration tasks
- Ensuring financial information is accurate, up to date, and compliant with company procedures and regulations
Administration & Business Support
- Providing general administrative support to the Finance Department and HR Manager
- Filing, scanning, and maintaining electronic and paper records
- Handling incoming queries via email and telephone in a professional manner
- Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal departments
- Assisting with data entry, document preparation, and reporting
- Supporting office operations and wider business administration tasks as required
- Maintaining confidentiality when handling financial and employee information
- Contributing to continuous improvement of administrative processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Good GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Willingness to learn accounting systems and business software
- Strong numerical and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional attitude with the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Positive, proactive, and eager-to-learn approach
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Entry requirements
Maths and English GCSE - Grade c or above. Or equivalent.
Training to be provided
Business Administration Level 3 Standard
Apprentices learn the skills they need on the job with the guidance of a development coach who is an expert from industry. You will finish your apprenticeship with a recognised qualification, valuable industry experience, money, and substantial opportunities for promotion.
Training is a blended learning delivery model: online learning, classroom sessions, work-based training, independent research, workplace projects, one-to-one support and training. Your training will include:
