Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver with their own vehicle to undertake deliveries of our frozen pizzas to various shops around the South West for one full day each week - ideally Thursdays but can also accommodate Wednesdays or Fridays.
Mileage will be paid at £0.45 per mile in addition to hourly wage.
The ideal candidate will:
- have their own vehicle which is serviced and cleaned to a high standard
- be reliable
- possess safe and polite driving skills
- have excellent communication abilities to chat to our stockists
- be physically capable of lifting boxes and large bags

Duties
- Safely operate your own vehicles to deliver goods to various locations within the designated area
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products, adhering to scheduled routes and deadlines
- Load and unload items, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery times or any issues encountered during routes
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including delivery logs and reports
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections prior to departure and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a valid full driver’s licence
- Experience with commercial driving and warehouse operations preferred
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
- Good organisational skills to manage delivery schedules and documentation effectively
- A responsible attitude towards safety protocols and traffic regulations
- Flexibility to work one full day per week - delivery shifts usually start at 7am to avoid later traffic, this is important as afternoon driving is much slower and more costly.
