Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality and service. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and team coordination
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and excellence in all culinary outputs
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu ideas and optimise existing recipes
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste and control costs
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, hospitality, and culinary expertise
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Previous restaurant experience demonstrating proficiency in culinary techniques and kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food production processes, menu development, and hospitality standards
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and time management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of service
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential
