Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Grammar School 11+ Tutors to inspire and prepare students for their entrance examinations to top grammar schools. In this role, you will deliver engaging, tailored tutoring sessions that build confidence and academic skills in young learners. Duties
- Deliver comprehensive tutoring sessions focused on the 11+ exam subjects, including English, Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning
- Assess each student’s strengths and areas for improvement to create personalized learning plans
- Prepare students for the format and types of questions they will encounter in entrance exams through practice tests and mock assessments
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and active participation
- Track student progress regularly and communicate feedback to parents or guardians effectively
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of children, including those requiring special education support
- Maintain organized records of lessons, student achievements, and areas needing further development
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching children, particularly in preparation for entrance exams or similar assessments
- Strong knowledge of the 11+ exam syllabus and testing formats across core subjects
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain concepts and motivate young learners
- Ability to work effectively with children of varying abilities, including those with special educational needs
- Enthusiastic approach to education with patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Organizational skills to plan lessons efficiently and track student progress accurately
