Production Operative
Stakapal is an established manufacturer of storage racking based in Norton Canes, Cannock. We have an opportunity for a Production Operative, who has experience of setting and operating a variety of machines, to join our small production team.
We are looking for a reliable Production Operative to join our busy manufacturing facility. You will play a crucial role in operating machinery, assembling components, and ensuring our high-quality products are produced safely and on schedule.
The role involves:
- Operate Machinery: Set up and operate various production machines including powder coat plant, guillotines, press brakes and power presses in line with standard operating procedures
- Quality Control: Conduct routine inspections on products to ensure they meet the company’s standards.
- Material Handling: Prepare, load and package raw and finished materials/products.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of working within a factory environment and with heavy sheet metal products.
- Confident working with your hands to operate machinery in the medium to heavy gauge engineering market
- Preferably you will have worked in a similar role. However, full training, across a whole range of skills and machines, will be provided for someone with a flexible and positive attitude who has a willingness to learn new skills.
- You will be hardworking, reliable and possess good communication skills
- Experience of driving a fork lift truck would be an advantage.
- A strong commitment to health and safety protocols.

As a small business, we require a flexible workforce and therefore other general production duties will be required.
You will be working within a factory environment with heavy sheet metal products and, due to the weight and size of the products, this is a physically demanding role.
The hours of work are 8.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday and based at our site in Norton Canes, Cannock.
Pay: £26,500.00-£28,500.00 per year
