This is a rare opportunity to join our team as we prepare to reopen Tokyo Tea Rooms and help shape an exciting new chapter. Following a temporary closure after the fire at the neighbouring cinema, we’re now looking for an ambitious leader to help drive the venue forward and build on the strong reputation we have established.
Tokyo Tea Rooms is one of Canterbury’s leading late-night venues, known for premium cocktails, entertainment and a packed events calendar. From the legendary Indie Rock Night and Y2K nights to private events and seasonal parties, no two weeks are the same.
Working alongside the CEO and Senior General Manager, you’ll lead an established business with a strong reputation, a loyal customer base and an experienced team. This is a chance to make your mark within an independent hospitality group that values ideas, backs its people and invests in their development.
We're looking for someone who:
- Leads from the floor, understands the demands of late-night trading and gets the best out of an experienced team
- Takes ownership of P&L performance, driving sales, GP and labour efficiency while maintaining exceptional standards
- Has hands-on experience with stock control, ordering and supplier management
- Thrives in a fast-paced late-night environment and enjoys the energy of live events and entertainment
- Is ambitious, commercially sharp and ready to take genuine ownership of a business
