I am working with a highly regarded and expanding Property Litigation team that is looking to recruit an experienced Property Litigation Solicitor (4+ years PQE) to join their office in Manchester.
This team advises a broad and high-quality client base across the public, private and third sectors, including landlords, developers, investors, lenders, local authorities and occupiers. The practice is continuing to grow nationally, offering genuine scope for progression and long-term career development.
The Role:
You will join a busy, well-resourced property litigation team and play an active role in both casework and the continued development of the practice. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a substantial caseload of mixed property litigation matters, predominantly commercial
- Delegating work effectively and supervising junior colleagues
- Working closely with partners and legal directors on complex, high-value disputes
- Taking a lead role in business development, client relationship management and profile-raising
- Meeting agreed financial targets and KPIs
- Ensuring compliance with deadlines, quality standards and regulatory requirements
Types of Work:
The caseload is broad and technically interesting, including:
- Conditional contracts, option agreements and overage disputes
- Restrictive covenants, easements and rights of way
- Rights of light and nuisance claims
- Injunctions and access rights for landlords and developers
- Possession proceedings, including squatters and protester actions
- Title and boundary disputes
- Commercial and residential leasehold disputes, including:
- Breaches of covenant and dilapidations
- Break clauses
- Opposed and unopposed lease renewals
- Forfeiture
- Rent review arbitrations and expert determinations
About You:
This opportunity would suit a solicitor who can demonstrate:
- 4+ years PQE in property litigation
- Strong drafting, legal analysis and case management skills
- Confidence working directly with clients and managing relationships
- A practical, commercial approach to dispute resolution
- A genuine interest in business development and practice growth
- The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels
- Excellent organisation and project management skills
