Salary: Pay Range starting on £28,000 and rising annually up to £33,000 per annum, plus potential recruitment/retention/responsibility allowance (up to a further £5,000 per annum)

Renew Education is a relatively newly established Alternative Provision Centre in the heart of Bridgwater, dedicated to supporting young people with complex needs and supporting them to thrive. We’re seeking a passionate and resilient educator to join us on our journey to help shape a nurturing, impactful learning environment. We currently work with numerous local schools, with students ranging from Year 4 - 11. We wish to increase capacity and are looking for the right candidate to be part of the next phase of our growth. They would ideally start in September, but most importantly we want the best candidate.
What you’ll do
- Plan to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to individual learning needs
- Provide one-to-one mentorship and build trusting relationships
- Develop personalised pathways and bespoke learning opportunities that foster growth, confidence, and achievement
- Lead and plan for subject areas, which will allow students to take specific qualifications linked to English and/or Maths.
- Develop materials and support staff with particular subject areas.0
- Provide feedback to commissioning schools as to how a young person is progressing.
What we’re looking for
- Proven ability to build respectful, positive relationships with young people
- Experience working with vulnerable learners, including those with SEMH needs or previous trauma
- A track record of implementing strategies that lead to measurable progress
- Deep understanding of how young people learn and how to adapt teaching accordingly

Experience/skills:
- Experience working with young people is essential, but not necessarily an experienced teacher. Empathy and clear communicator. A desire to build relationships, impact young people and shape others. A novel approach to teaching in different and accessible way. Welfare skills.
