Yard Person
We are looking for a someone to join our team who has experience in towing caravans, trailers or horseboxes. The role is required to move caravans around our dealership, using a tow vehicle, to support the sales and service functions of the business.
The day to day job role includes:
· Identify, locate and deliver leisure vehicles to the workshop, (caravans and motorhomes) in a timely manner, to enable the Technicians to work on the leisure vehicle.
· Identify, locate and deliver leisure vehicles to the carpark area, in a timely manner, to enable the Service team to handover the vehicle to the owner.
· Identify, locate and deliver leisure vehicles to the valeters, in a timely manner, to enable the Valeters to work on the leisure vehicle.
· Collect leisure vehicles from the carpark, workshop and valeting area. Locate them in the required location in the yard.
· Arrange the sales ground in line with the Sales Manager’s requirements
· Adhere to the speed limit on site, operate correct hitching up and dropping off procedures (including the correct use of the brake-away cable).
· Organise the yard appropriately to minimise the risk of damage.
· Occasionally deliver caravans to customers and/or venues.
· Ensuring the yard looks presentable and tidy.
Key Attributes:
· Have a good level of common sense, care and attention
· Full, clean, UK driving license
· Experience in towing caravans (including reversing)
· Good team ethic.
