Job Overview
Our store is truly magical and is located in the idealistic location of The Coppice Garden centre in Tamworth.
We on the search for an experienced retail sales assistant that can support our team in the Birmingham branch.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a keen interest in sales. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for customers, assisting them with their purchases, and ensuring that the store is well-organised and visually appealing.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience.
- Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs and preferences.
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities.
- Maintain an organised and tidy store layout, ensuring products are displayed attractively.
- Handle transactions accurately using the till system, including cash handling and basic maths calculations.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.
- Keep up-to-date with product knowledge to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers.
Skills
- Strong Computer Literacy (very important)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage stock levels and maintain an orderly store environment.
- Maths skills for processing transactions accurately.
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Multilingual abilities, especially in Spanish or other languages, are highly desirable for engaging with a diverse customer base but not essential.
- friendly demeanour with a focus on providing outstanding customer service at all times.
