Job Overview
We are seeking a Chef to join our team who cares about the food leaving the pass. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients
- Collaborate with staff to ensure timely service and quality of meals
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients when possible
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices
- Serve meals ensuring presentation meets standards
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a pub setting
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
