The role
We are looking for a skilled Bench Upholsterer to join our production team, working across divan base upholstery and headboard finishing. This is skilled role — you will need proven hands-on experience in upholstery production, though deep buttoning experience is not required.
You will be working as part of a small, focused production team where quality and consistent output both matter. Components are prepared and fed to you so you can focus on — prepping and finishing great upholstery work.
What you'll be doing
- Upholstering divan bed bases — poly wrapping, padding, and fitting pre-cut fabric covers to full timber frames
- Upholstering headboards — padding up pre-made headboard blanks and fitting covers to a clean, professional finish
- Working to weekly production targets in a structured, well-organised environment
- Maintaining consistent quality standards across all work — finish and fit matter here
- Working closely with the wider production team and flagging any component or quality issues promptly
- Taking care of your workspace and equipment
- Occasional work on content with in house marketing team
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Proven experience in upholstery production — divan bases, headboards, or similar bedroom furniture
- Ability to work accurately and consistently to production targets
- Strong attention to detail — you care about the quality of your finish
- Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
- Able to work independently once trained on our products and processes
Desirable:
- Experience in a small production environment or bespoke / hand-made furniture setting
- Familiarity with fabric cutting and cover fitting
- Comfortable working at pace without compromising on quality
