We are seeking a dedicated Charity Shop Worker to join our team. This role involves supporting the day-to-day operations of our charity shop, ensuring a welcoming environment for customers, and assisting with various administrative and organisational tasks. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their visit
- Assist with the organisation and display of donated goods, ensuring items are attractively presented
- Operate the cash register, handle transactions accurately, and process payments
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the shop floor and stock areas
- Support with stock management, including sorting donations and recording inventory
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry and updating records using basic IT skills
- Contribute to promotional activities and community engagement initiatives
- Support other team members with general shop duties as required
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable manner
- Basic IT skills for data entry, record keeping, and using shop management software
- Administrative experience is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn is important
- Organised with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team or independently as needed
- Passionate about community work and supporting charitable causes
