KP Dodd Construction are looking for a carpenter/joiner to join their growing business. The purpose of this role is to complete all joinery work safely, efficiently and to client satisfaction. You’ll communicate effectively with internal office staff, colleagues, your manager and customers whilst performing other duties as appropriate to the job level, including providing support to colleagues as directed by your manager.
This position suits a highly motivated, enthusiastic person, who can work in a fast-paced environment, will need to make decisions and complete tasks using their skills and knowledge. Able to undertake tasks on an individual basis as well as part of a team. Work along side other trades in an efficient manner to ensure works are done to schedule and on time. This role will suit a highly confident individual looking for a long term career in the construction industry.
Must have a clean Full driving license
Successful applicant will require a DBS check due to the nature of the clients we work alongside.
Tasks include but not limited to -
-Assemble and install wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications
-Read and interpret drawings to determine dimensions and materials required
-Install Kitchen cabinets, doors, windows, and other structures, skirts, arcs, door casing, etc
-Inspect and repair damaged frameworks or structures
-Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Knowledge of roofing techniques and ability to repair or install roofs is an advantage but not essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels, etc.
- Familiarity with power tools such as drills, sanders, routers, etc.
- Strong carpentry skills for precise cutting, shaping, and joining of materials
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and quality craftsmanship
