About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator/ Assistant Management Accountant to support the finance function across Lodgecrest Holdings Plc and Pure Resi Ltd. This is a varied role within a busy property group involved in property development, investment and residential property management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing day-to-day transactions and supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Ledger
- Process supplier invoices accurately and promptly.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and approvals.
- Prepare supplier payment runs.
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Resolve invoice queries with suppliers and internal departments.
Sales Ledger
- Raise customer invoices.
- Allocate receipts.
- Chase outstanding debts where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate customer account records.
Bank & Cash
- Perform daily bank reconciliations.
- Process receipts and payments.
- Maintain cash books.
- Monitor company bank balances.
Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate accounting records using accounting software.
- Process journals where required.
- Reconcile control accounts.
- Assist with month-end procedures.
Property Accounting
- Record rental income and service charge transactions.
- Reconcile tenant accounts.
- Assist with landlord statements.
- Process contractor invoices relating to managed properties.
- Support reconciliation of client money accounts where applicable.
Experience
Essential
- Previous bookkeeping or accounts administration experience.
- Experience with accounting software ( Sage ).
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience within the property sector.
- Knowledge of residential lettings or property management accounting.
- Experience with VAT returns.
- AAT qualification (or studying towards one).
