Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef/Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain efficient operations.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of meals during service hours.
- Manage food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices.
- Assist in menu planning and development to meet customer preferences and dietary requirements.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste through effective stock management.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and dedication to quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Supervising experience is highly desirable, with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills to effectively lead a team and liaise with other departments.
- Passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development.
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
