We are looking for a friendly, confident and capable Workshop Technician to join our busy, AWS Approved workshop. If you enjoy problem solving, take pride in your workmanship and are looking for a rewarding career within the leisure vehicle industry, we'd love to hear from you.
Previous workshop experience is essential. Experience working on motorhomes and caravans is highly desirable, although candidates from other mechanical, automotive or engineering backgrounds will also be considered, as full product training will be provided for the right individual.
Working as part of an experienced team, you'll be based in our 4-bay AWS Approved workshop, where you'll be supported by an experienced Workshop Manager who will oversee daily workloads whilst providing ongoing coaching and training as you develop your skills.
The Role
Day-to-day duties will include:
- Carrying out habitation inspections.
- Internal woodwork and furniture repairs.
- Damp diagnosis and repairs.
- Gas system servicing, repairs and installations.
- 12V and 240V electrical diagnosis, repairs and installations.
- Heating system diagnosis and repairs.
- Warranty diagnosis and repair work.
- Fitting accessories including bike racks, awnings, TV aerials and solar panels.
- General electrical fault finding and repairs.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Helping to create a positive, safe and productive working environment.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience working within a workshop environment.
- Experience within the motorhome or caravan industry would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right candidate.
- Have excellent practical and problem-solving skills.
- Be fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Be friendly, approachable and able to communicate effectively with both customers and colleagues.
- Work well under pressure and remain positive when faced with changing priorities.
- Be reliable, organised and take pride in producing high-quality work.
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Be flexible and willing to adapt to the needs of the business.
- Hold a full UK driving licence (no drink driving endorsements).
- Gas and/or electrical qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.

Salary & Benefits
- OTE £27,500 - £36,500, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Monday to Friday, 8:15am - 5:00pm.
