Bar Manager, Greedy Banker, Cleveleys FY5 1AY
Salary - £35k to £40k depending on experience plus bonuses
We have a vacancy for a bar manager at our recently established town centre pub which consists of a main bar on the ground floor plus sports bar and function room/lounge bar on the first floor with a kitchen to be installed to introduce a food offering later this year.
We are looking for an experienced bar manager with a proven track record of operating a successful multi-purpose hospitality venue with a background of working in the drinks, food and entertainment industry.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:-
- The ability to lead, manage and motivate a team of 20 staff to create a productive and rewarding working environment whilst providing support during busy service periods.
- Training and development of staff to a high standard to enable them to achieve their potential.
- Recruitment and management of staff to ensure adequate staff numbers are maintained at all times.
- Managing stock control and ordering supplies including maintaining and rotating stock as required whilst also establishing and growing effective relationships with existing and new suppliers.
- Planning and managing staff rotas so the pub is fully staffed to meet fluctuating demands.
- Maintaining high standards of product quality, presentation and service to enable customers to receive a welcoming and enjoyable experience.
- Monitoring financial performance and targets whilst managing cost controls to maximise profit potential.
- Keeping the bars, kitchen and premises clean, safe and well organised at all times.
- Manage and develop a workable and attractive food and catering proposition.
- A strong focus on customer service and ability to successfully deal with and resolve customer issues.
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, age verification procedures, food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
- Hire and manage an appropriate and varied entertainment programme plus sports and sports tv events.
- Maintain a good working relationship with the local Police and Licensing Authorities whilst also managing door staff numbers to comply with the terms of the licence.
- Holder of a Personal Licence with the suitability to be a Designated Supervisor. Driving Licence preferred.
You will report directly to the board of directors and will be expected to demonstrate good leadership and mentoring qualities with the ability to manage your working relationships both up and down using excellent interpersonal skills.
