Job Introduction
We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Food Service Assistant to join our team at HMRC Glasgow, Queensway House. You'll help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming catering environment while supporting the kitchen and café with food service, cleaning, stock handling, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen, café, dining areas, and pot wash.

Support food service by replenishing catering stations and assisting customers.

Receive, check, and store deliveries using stock rotation procedures.

Operate the till and follow cash handling procedures (training provided).

Monitor food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.

Report maintenance issues and hazards promptly.

Assist with general catering duties and support the wider team as required.
What We’re Looking For:

A positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning and hygiene standards.

Previous catering or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
