Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Timber Frame Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the fabrication and assembly of timber frames, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within a dynamic environment, contributing to the creation of bespoke timber structures. Responsibilities
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during fabrication and assembly processes.
- Assist in cutting, shaping, and assembling timber components according to technical drawings and specifications
- Handle heavy lifting tasks to move raw materials and finished products within the workshop or storage areas.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Support in warehouse activities such as loading, unloading, and stock organisation.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines whilst ensuring quality standards are met.
- Assist with the installation of timber frames on-site if required, following safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with fabrication processes is advantageous.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, sewing equipment, or involved in assembly work is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure precision in fabrication tasks.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks throughout the shift.
