DGS Service Solutionsare seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our team in the Derry/Londonderry area. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various premises. This role will be covering various sites including Richmond Centre, Ebrington area, The Range . Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is highly desirable but the applicant must drive, this role is 30 hours per week with more hours available.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas including offices, washrooms, and communal spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and products.
- Ensure all surfaces, floors, and fixtures are cleaned to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet rolls as needed throughout the shift.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly.
- Adhere to company policies regarding cleaning protocols and confidentiality requirements.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and reliability are essential qualities for this role.
Pay: £12.81 per hour
