Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sheeter/Cladder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and securing cladding materials on various building structures, ensuring safety, precision, and quality in all tasks. Responsibilities
- Measure and cut cladding materials accurately according to project specifications using hand tools and power tools.
- Install sheeting and cladding panels onto building exteriors, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans to execute tasks correctly.
- Utilise welding techniques where necessary to secure metal components or reinforce structures.
- Operate heavy lifting equipment or assist with manual lifting of large or heavy materials safely.
- Perform fabrication tasks such as cutting, shaping, or modifying materials to fit designated areas.
- Work with other trades including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or roofing teams to ensure seamless project progression.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues related to installation processes or material handling during projects.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, roofing or construction is highly desirable.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, chisels, levels, and measuring devices.
- Competent with power tools including drills, saws, grinders, and cutters.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during installation activities.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to working at heights or around construction sites.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail for precise measurements and secure fittings.
