Highway Assurance are a Traffic Management, Reactive and Civil Engineering company based across East Anglia, with our head office in Barham, Suffolk.

We are seeking skilled Traffic Management operatives to join our team at our Brentwood Depot in Essex.
The role will include the setup and removal of Traffic Lights, Road Closures etc as well as other TM duties such as manual control and operative on site. 12A/B Install planned and Emergency Traffic Lane/Road closures compliant with Chapter 8 and the National Highways Sector Scheme on High-Speed Dual Carriageways/Motorways
Duties:
- Drive the standard within the company through quality, safe setups
- Maintain accurate paperwork using device provided
- Manage communication with the operations department
- Be polite and professional to customers and members of public
- Maintain vehicles and equipment related to your job and ensure they are suitable for use
Due to the physical demands of Traffic Management, candidates must be able to carry out the duties associated with the role. The business operates in a reactive environment so flexibility and adaptability are essential. Working hours may vary and can include day shifts, night shifts, and optional weekend work.
Requirements:
- Hold minimum LANTRA 12A/B qualification or 12D M1/M2/M5 qualification.
- Hold Full UK driving License
- Have complete understanding of Chapter 8 and The Code of Practice (the Red Book)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
