Access Creative College is looking for a passionate GCSE Maths Lecturer to join our London campus. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young people studying creative subjects by helping them develop the Maths skills and confidence they need to achieve their goals.
Working as part of a collaborative and supportive team, you will deliver engaging GCSE Maths lessons, contribute to an outstanding student experience and play a key role in improving attendance, achievement and progression across the college.
As our GCSE Maths Lecturer, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high quality GCSE Maths lessons that inspire and motivate learners.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can achieve their potential.
- Assess student work fairly, accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback and targeted support.
- Work closely with curriculum teams to embed Maths across vocational programmes.
- Collaborate with programme leaders to improve attendance, engagement and achievement.
- Support students with SEND and those identified as being at risk by working alongside our Additional Learning Support team.
- Contribute to parent evenings, learner reports and student progress reviews.
- Take part in cross curricular activities, enrichment opportunities and college events.
- Support recruitment, marketing and open events by promoting the benefits of studying Maths at Access Creative College.
- Contribute positively to team meetings, quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and committed to helping students succeed. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage learners from a wide range of backgrounds.
You will have:
- A degree or relevant professional qualification and experience.
- A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or DTLLS (Level 5) with a Maths specialism.
- Experience teaching GCSE Maths within Further Education or a similar educational setting.
- A proven track record of supporting students to achieve successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication, organisation and ICT skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a busy environment.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
It would be advantageous if you also have:
- Experience working with external partners and stakeholders.
- Experience of Ofsted inspections.
- Experience teaching across a range of Further Education programmes.
