Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in fast-paced restaurant environments. Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizza dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist in meal preparation for other menu items as required
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated regularly
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to produce consistent results
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service during busy periods
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper handling of food and equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a commercial kitchen
- Experience with meal preparation and working with various kitchen tools and appliances
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality food presentation and taste
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience serving customers or working in hospitality is desirable but not essential
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends and evenings as required
