We are currently recruiting experienced PCV Bus Drivers to join our School Contract team, based in Hull.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, reliable, and punctual journeys for school, college, and local bus services.
Welcome passengers with a friendly and professional attitude, treating everyone with respect and courtesy.
Drive company vehicles safely and responsibly, complying with all legal requirements and company procedures.
Issue tickets, accept payments, and check valid passes using our ticketing systems.
Work as part of a dedicated team to ensure services operate smoothly throughout the school term.

What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
A valid PCV licence.
Excellent customer service skills.
A friendly, professional, and reliable approach.
Good communication skills and a basic standard of English and maths.
Knowledge of the local Hull area is advantageous.
A smart and professional appearance.
Successful applicants will also be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
How Our School Contract Roles Work
Our School Contract Drivers work during the school and college term, providing transport on dedicated school services alongside local bus routes.
These roles are based on annualised hours, meaning you will work during the 39-week school term while receiving a regular salary spread across the year. This provides financial stability while allowing you to enjoy the school holiday periods away from work.
The role typically involves 20–25 hours per week during term time, with opportunities for overtime and additional work where available.
During the working term, annual leave is not taken, with time off limited to scheduled rest days or authorised leave such as sickness or bereavement.
As you remain employed by East Yorkshire throughout the year, you would not be permitted to undertake PCV driving work for another operator during the non-working periods.
