We are recruiting a cook or chef to join the kitchen team at an exciting Pirate-themed Bar & Restaurant.
We are a small kitchen team, not a large brigade operation. Each chef works across the kitchen rather than staying on one fixed section. During a normal shift you may move between the hot line, pizzas, prep and plating depending on service needs.
We recently achieved a 5-Star Food Hygiene Rating, and we are looking for someone who wants to be part of a well-organised kitchen where standards matter.
This role suits someone who enjoys real service and being involved in the whole kitchen, rather than repeating the same task all shift.
What you’ll be doing
- Cooking during busy service periods
- Running or supporting the hot line
- Pizza preparation and service
- Food prep and mise en place
- Plating and presentation
- Receiving and storing deliveries
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation
- Following food safety procedures at all times
- Working closely with front-of-house during service
You will be expected to help wherever the kitchen needs support during service.
Experience we’re looking for
- Previous experience as a chef, line chef, cook, commis chef or chef de partie
- Able to work calmly during busy service
- Comfortable working independently within a small team
- Organised and reliable
- Willing to learn multiple sections of the kitchen
Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred (training can be arranged).
