Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team in our under 2's room on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can learn, grow, and develop essential skills. Your leadership and management skills will ensure that daily activities are engaging and educational, fostering a love for learning from an early age. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to child welfare and development.
Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Supervise and support children throughout their daily routines, including playtime, meals, naps, and learning sessions.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Lead and manage a team of nursery staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality childcare delivery.
- Organize regular assessments of children's development to tailor activities that meet individual needs.
- Ensure compliance with all childcare policies, procedures, and licensing requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting.
- Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily operations and staff performance.
- Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and team members effectively.
- Knowledge of childcare best practices, health & safety standards, and early childhood development principles.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare are highly desirable.
- Level 3 in a relevant qualification preferred
