Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics and Science to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for fostering student learning in subjects such as Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive lessons in Mathematics and Science, incorporating innovative teaching methods to cater to varied learning styles
- Develop and implement curriculum plans aligned with national standards and school objectives
- Mentor students by providing personalised guidance, tutoring, and behavioural management strategies to foster positive classroom environments
- Facilitate laboratory experiments and practical activities in biochemistry and other scientific disciplines, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Conduct scientific research projects with students to enhance their understanding of scientific principles and investigative skills
- Proofread and review educational materials, assessments, and student work for accuracy and clarity
- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects that integrate mathematical concepts with scientific applications
- Support students with special educational needs by adapting teaching strategies and providing additional assistance as required
- Maintain effective communication with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student progress and behavioural concerns
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching Mathematics and Science at secondary or higher education levels
- Strong knowledge of biochemistry, laboratory techniques, scientific research methodologies, and behaviour management strategies
- Demonstrated mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex concepts clearly
- Experience in tutoring students outside regular class hours is desirable
- Familiarity with proofreading educational content for accuracy and coherence
- Background in special education or experience working with students requiring additional support is advantageous
- Relevant qualifications in Education, Science or related fields; teaching certification preferred
