Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and heating systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, practical experience with a range of tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality service. We use high quality materials and take the time to do higher quality installations. Most of our works is within a hour of fleet mostly local to fleet.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and heating systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete tasks efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and fit pipes using carpentry skills where necessary.
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving equipment or materials.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults in complex systems and implement appropriate solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies at all times.
- Assist with the training of apprentices or junior staff as required.
Experience
- Proven experience in plumbing, heating installation, or maintenance roles within commercial or residential settings.
- Proficiency with welding, hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to plumbing and heating systems.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
- Experience with carpentry tasks related to system fitting or repairs is advantageous.
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving tasks is desirable but not essential. Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
