Are you looking for a truly rewarding teaching role where you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people? At CandLE, you’ll join a creative, supportive team where no two days are the same. You’ll enjoy real variety, the freedom to be innovative, and the chance to feel genuinely stimulated and inspired in your work.
CandLE is a not‑for‑profit educational organisation providing specialist teaching and learning services for students with special educational needs. We work across a wide range of settings nationally, supporting learners in schools, colleges, and education other than at school environments.
Our work centres on ensuring that curriculum and learning opportunities are fully accessible to all students, with a particular focus on supporting those who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). As part of an interdisciplinary team, we use adaptive teaching strategies to help students overcome barriers to learning and unlock their full potential.
We provide advice, training, and direct support to students, families, local authorities, and schools, ensuring that every learner receives the personalised support they need to thrive.
We are looking for an Education Specialist initially to support a student who is transitioning from special needs primary school to mainstream secondary school but there may be opportunities in the future to work with students across the Nottingham area in a range of situations. For a more detailed job description please see attached document.
CandLE is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its students. All applicants are subject to the requirements of the Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education guidelines. This will include checks with past employers and the need for the successful applicant to hold or undergo a suitable enhanced DBS disclosure.
