Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our dynamic design team. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Autodesk Inventor
- Create accurate models for architectural, structural, or mechanical projects in line with project specifications.
- Assist in the development of system designs and construction schematics to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to produce optimised design solutions.
- Review and update existing drawings based on client feedback or project modifications.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to organisational standards and industry regulations.
- Support the integration of graphic design elements into technical documentation where required.
- Maintain organised digital files and documentation for easy retrieval and version control.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a CAD Technician or in a similar role within architecture, engineering, or construction industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software including Autodesk Inventor, Lantek CAD/CAM
- Strong understanding of system design principles and construction processes.
- Experience with graphic design tools is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of construction documentation standards and schematic development is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into precise digital models.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
