We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Baby Room Leader to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of the baby room, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of care and activities
- Manage a team of nursery practitioners, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training to promote professional development
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support early childhood development milestones
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and health information in compliance with regulatory standards
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and well-being
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the nursery environment at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Support team members in creating an inclusive, caring atmosphere that promotes positive behaviour and emotional security
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
- Extensive experience working with children, particularly infants or babies
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively liaise with parents, team members, and external agencies
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are essential
- Valid first aid certification relevant to infants is highly desirable
- Ability to drive is a nice-to-have skill that can assist with various operational needs within the nursery environment
