Solomon Bodyguard Engineer (Mobile Refrigerated Vehicle Repair Technician)

A mobile engineer responsible for attending customer locations to repair refrigerated vehicles, completing bodywork repairs to a high standard, and accurately recording all work activity via an online diary/reporting platform. Working independently in the field, with support from a central office team to coordinate and schedule jobs.

Key Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites, depots, home delivery stores, and service locations to carry out repairs.
- Carry out bodywork repairs on refrigerated vehicles (vans and trucks), ensuring safe working practices and high-quality workmanship.
- Inspect vehicles on arrival, diagnose damage, and assess repair requirements.
- Complete job reports, work updates, timesheets, and documentation using an online/mobile work diary platform.
- Liaise with the office coordination team regarding job progress, parts requirements, and scheduling.
- Manage workload independently while maintaining strong customer service standards.
- Ensure all repairs are completed in line with company procedures, quality standards, and health & safety requirements.
Working Style
- Mobile-based role requiring regular travel to customer locations.
- Trusted to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain clear communication with the office support team to ensure efficient job allocation and completion.
Qualifications / Experience
- No formal qualifications required.
- 3–5 years’ experience repairing commercial vehicles (trucks and/or vans) preferred.
- Experience with bodywork repairs is essential.
- Ability to work independently and manage jobs efficiently while on the road.
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers on-site.
Working Hours
- 5 days a week (40 hours min) 4 on / 4 off shift (10 hours per day)
- Overtime available daily
- Weekend overtime available
