Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee operations within a care setting for individuals with Learning disabilities, Mental health and Complex needs . The ideal candidate will possess extensive management experience, particularly in environments such as residential care homes. This role involves leading a dedicated team to deliver exceptional care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a supportive environment for both staff and residents. A strong background in care-related fields is essential to effectively coordinate services and maintain high standards of quality. There will also be the opertunity to lead and manage an additonal new service due to on open in the very near future.
Duties
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring delivery of high-quality resident care.
- Supervise and support staff including housekeepers fostering a positive team environment through effective management and supervision.
- Oversee care management processes to ensure individualised support plans are implemented effectively for residents with complex needs such as autism, various mental health diagnosis and complex needs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including medication administration protocols and infection control procedures.
- Coordinate with professionals across disciplines such as social workers, community nursing teams to optimise resident outcomes.
- Develop and implement policies related to Learning disability, Mental health and Complex needs and other specialised services.
- Monitor service quality through audits, resident feedback, and staff performance reviews; implement improvements where necessary.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and staffing schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain detailed documentation related to resident care plans, incident reports, regulatory compliance records, and staff training records.
- Promote continuous professional development within the team by organising training sessions on topics such as, medication administration, and working with individuals with disabilities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in management within residential care settings.
- Extensive knowledge of Adult Social Care practices including management experiance.
- Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Familiarity with care management processes and residential care coordination across various disciplines.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications in health or social care management recognised by regulatory bodies are preferred.
