Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation by washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients for cooking and plating
- Support the cooking team with basic meal assembly and presentation tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies to prevent spoilage and waste
- Help with serving food efficiently during busy service times while adhering to hygiene protocols
- Follow all health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment for staff and guests
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant kitchens, or food service environments is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and meal preparation processes
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards
- Hands-on kitchen experience demonstrating reliability and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions carefully while working efficiently under pressure
- Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail in food presentation and cleanliness
