Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Server/Waitress to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive table service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities and enhance guest satisfaction
- Assist with setting tables, refilling water glasses, and clearing used dishes promptly
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to answer guest queries confidently
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues promptly
- Handle cash or electronic payments accurately and efficiently
- Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in japanese restaurant or hospitality service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills are advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
