In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely delivering and collecting a wide range of plant equipment and tools to various job sites. Your expertise in commercial driving and your commitment to excellent customer service will ensure our clients receive their hire equipment promptly and in perfect condition. Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver plant machinery and tools to customer sites.
- Load, secure, and unload equipment ensuring safety standards are maintained throughout the process.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery schedules, and documentation for all transactions.
- Communicate effectively with customers upon delivery or collection, providing excellent service and support.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures during transportation activities.
- Assist with the maintenance of the vehicle fleet to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed trucks or similar vehicles. Licence B/B1 and preferred BE
- Towing Experience essential.
- Strong knowledge of safe loading, securing, and transporting plant equipment and tools.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience in delivery driver roles is highly preferred.
- Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or maps to reach various job sites promptly.
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
