Overview
We are seeking a motivated Labourer to join our team, supporting a variety of construction, gardening, and maintenance projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in landscape maintenance, horticulture, and the use of power tools. The successful candidate will be involved in hands-on work across diverse environments, contributing to the upkeep and development of outdoor spaces and construction sites. A background in mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools or excavators is advantageous. This position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to gain valuable industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, and turf care
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and machinery including excavators and irrigation systems under supervision
- Supporting construction activities by preparing sites, moving materials, and performing basic assembly tasks
- Conducting routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assisting with gardening duties such as planting, watering, mulching, and soil preparation
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Collaborating with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes
Qualifications
- Previous experience or knowledge in horticulture, gardening, or landscape maintenance is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with construction equipment such as excavators is a plus
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Basic understanding of irrigation systems and general maintenance procedures
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Physical fitness to handle manual labour tasks including lifting and operating machinery for extended periods
- A responsible attitude towards safety protocols and teamwork
