Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Events Steward to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, organisation, and excellent guest experience at various events. This role offers an opportunity to develop management skills within a dynamic hospitality environment, providing support for event operations and guest services.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide assistance to ensure a positive experience throughout the event
- Monitor event areas to maintain safety standards and enforce venue policies
- Assist with crowd management and coordinate guest flow to prevent congestion
- Support event staff in setting up and dismantling equipment or furniture as required
- Provide information and guidance to guests regarding event programmes and facilities
- Handle guest enquiries professionally, ensuring high standards of hospitality and service
- Collaborate with management to address any issues promptly and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of event spaces before, during, and after events
Requirements
- Previous experience in management, hospitality, or guest services is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations diplomatically
- Organised with strong attention to detail
- Physically fit to stand for extended periods and manage crowd control tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, or unsociable hours as required by event schedules
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences
